With a rising number of cases in Karnataka, the government of Karnataka decided to announce that there will be a strict lockdown in Bangalore Urban and Rural districts from 20:00hrs on 14th July to 05:00hrs 22nd July.
While Bangalore Urban has been a hot spot of Coronavirus outbreak in Karnataka, we have seen many cases of shortage of ICU beds, Shortage of hospital which has vacant beds, and also a shortage of mortuaries which has led to the districts undergoing a strict lockdown.
Speaking about the lockdown, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa announced. “Considering the suggestions from experts to curb the increasing number of Covid cases, the government has decided to implement complete lockdown in Bengaluru Urban and Rural Districts for 7 days starting 8 PM on Tuesday, 14th July. Detailed guidelines will be released on Monday,”
Also, CM clarified on availability of essentials in the tweet saying “All essential services including supply of milk, vegetables, fruits, medicines, and groceries will continue uninterrupted. I appeal to people to cooperate with the government, follow all guidelines, take all precautionary steps, and help us contain the pandemic,” he said. On Monday, i.e, on 13th July, a detailed availability, rules, and regulations of lockdown in these 2 districts will be let known and people should follow this lockdown in a strict manner so that they can break the chain of Covid-19.
