One of Hollywood’s acclaimed director, Christopher Nolan is being ridiculed as it was revealed that he does not like to use chairs in his sets. In an interview with Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway said that Nolan does not like to use chairs in his sets as he believes that people who are sitting will not work.
“[Nolan] doesn’t allow chairs. And his reasoning is: if you have chairs, people will sit, and if they’re sitting, they’re not working” said Hathaway, she continued “I mean, he has these incredible movies in terms of scope and ambition and technical prowess and emotion. It always arrives at the end under schedule and under budget. I think he’s onto something with the chair thing”.

With his movies like Dunkirk, The dark knight rises, Momento and his upcoming movie Tenet which is yet to hit theatres, Nolan is known for his obsession to execute big technical stunts and themes surrounding time and memory. However, the revelation has not gone down well as he often casts old actors such as Michael Caine who has worked with him in many movies.
This has bought a series of tweets and retweets from many users mocking Nolan for his unusual activity.
