Television actress Sejal Sharma, best known for her role as Simmi Khosla in Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji of Star Plus, allegedly committed suicide while at her residence on Mira Road on Friday, police said.
It is said that the actress shared her room with a friend of the Royal Nest Society in the Shivar Garden on Mira Road. “Around 2:30 a.m., her roommate tried to open the door of her room, while Sharma did not answer her calls and found her hanging,” said a police officer.
Sharma was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead when she arrived.
Police found a suicide note in which, according to reports, the actress said she committed suicide for personal reasons.
Mira Road police have recorded an incident of accidental death in this case. Sharma is from Udaipur.
Disturbance of personal life
Reports indicate that the possible reason for suicide could be the problem in her personal life of the deceased actress.
Sejal was from Udaipur and came to Mumbai in 2017 to try her luck in the entertainment world. Before her debuts on the Star Plus show “Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji”, she appeared in some commercials. She also appeared in a web series called “Azad Parindey”.
