A deadly Coronavirus in China is likely to survive for up to 9 days in a landfill, a new study has revealed.
According to the Journal of Occupational Infection, the Coronavirus survives for an average of four to five days. Professor Gunter Kumpf of Greifswald University Hospital in Germany explained that the virus’s lifespan would be further enhanced by lower temperatures and higher air humidity.
The conclusion came after nearly 22 studies on coronavirus. The study mostly focused on SARS coronavirus and MERS coronavirus. Various coronavirus was analyzed. However, the result is the same, according to Professor Eich Steinmann of the Ruhr University Bochum in Germany.
Until now, no specific treatment for coronavirus has been found. However, there is an increasing emphasis on preventive measures to protect against infection. Gunter Kampf warned that repeatedly touching the top of the material with the hands could cause infection.
