New Delhi: A petition stating that the Vista Central project will have an impact on a “public recreation” area was rejected today by the Supreme Court, as it emphasized that “everything can be criticized but there must be constructive criticism.”
“It is not (a) private property that is being created there. The vice president’s residence is being created. There is likely vegetation around it. The plan has already been approved by the authorities unless you allege bad faith in that process,” said Judge AM Khanwilkar. during the hearing in a series of harsh comments.
“Shall we start asking the common man now where the vice president’s residence will be?” he asked further.
Attorney General Tushar Mehta told the court that the center is “increasing green space as part of comprehensive development.”
