As coronavirus has made a devastating impact on the Indian economy, states with huge loss of life many states have suffered from the citizens getting infected and many deaths have been reported across pan India. This is the case of West Bengal too where over 15,000+ cases were recorded and over 550 people have died succumbing to Coronavirus infection.
Keeping this in mind, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has announced that the state of West Bengal will be extending lockdown until July 31. Previously lockdown was supposed to end on June 30 and the decision to extend the lockdown was undertaken after an all-party meeting held discussing the matter of Covid-19.
Certain rules are needed to be followed following the extension of lockdown, this includes
a) in an attempt to curb rising infection, West Bengal decided to follow strict lockdown measures to its containment zones.
b) Schools, Colleges, or any other educational institutes will not open till July 31.
c) Metro and Suburban trains to start operating after governmental orders.
d) Shopping Malls, Restaurants to be open following Central Government orders, however, they need to follow strict guidelines.
e) Places of worship to be open but strict social distancing measures to be followed.
f) Government and Private offices are open however the employee count should be reduced than before.
