Today we have gathered here to celebrate the 74th Republic Day of our Nation. India gained Independence on 15th August 1947, however, the Constitution came into effect on 26th January 1950.
The Constitution is not just a book of pages. The Constitution is the ultimate law of the country.
On 26th January 1950, India declared a Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic Republic, and the Constitution assured the citizens of India Justice, Equality, Liberty, and Fraternity.
On 24th January 1950, The constituent assembly of India declared Jana Gana Mana as the National Anthem and Vande Mataram as National Song.
Our country has a rich history of culture and heroism. Goodwill, peace, helpful nature, tolerance, and equality are the values that secure the country.
We have accomplished a lot in the last 7 decades. There is still plenty to be achieved. We need to work sincerely on matters which are harming our nation because real growth can be achieved only if there is uniform growth in every sector.
This day is an occasion to recall the supreme sacrifice made by thousands of freedom fighters who did not expect anything in return other than the objective of saving the motherland.
I sincerely thank our Indian Armed Forces – The Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force for protecting our country’s people from enemies.
Let’s be proud and say together: “Jai Hind Jai Bharath” Thank you.

Today is the day we need to remember our past, Today is the day we gathered all, Today is the day we build hope for the future. I welcome all of you who are presented here respected Chief guests, Teachers, Parents, and my friends.
As we all know, Republic Day is celebrated on 26th January every year in India with great pride and enthusiasm.
Before Independence India was under British rule for over 200 years. After a long struggle and the great sacrifices of many freedom fighters, India got Independence on 15th August 1947.
But we didn’t have any form of strong government or Constitution. On 26th January, Indian Constitution came into force. We became a sovereign, socialist, democratic republic country on 26th January 1950.
Hence this day is very important for all the citizens of India and it is referred to as Republic Day. Our Constitution is the largest written constitution in the whole world.
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was the leader of the Constitution drafting committee and he is known as the architect of the Indian Constitution. It was created in such a manner that all citizens of India could enjoy equal rights pertaining to their religions, culture, caste, gender, and creed.
It gives us the fundamental right to elect the leaders of our country. On this great occasion, we commemorate and give tribute to all our great leaders and freedom fighters.
Let’s all show our respect and pride to the nation.
Happy Republic Day! Thank you.
