8) The Green Corn Ceremony, or Busk, was a time of thanksgiving, rekindling of sacred fires, and the spiritual renewal of the Cherokee Nation. It was held in mid-to-late summer at the time corn was ready for roasting.

9) The green darner is one of the most common dragonflies in the United States. It has a brilliant green head and thorax. It is also found in Asia, the Pacific islands, and from Alaska to Costa Rica.

10) Green Dolphin Street was a movie set in 19th- century New Zealand, released in 1947. Starring Lana Turner, Donna Reed, and Richard Hart, it was a story about two sisters vying for the affections of one man.
